Week 97: Russian progress at Bakhmut
Avdiivka
Over the past week Russia has made minor progress on the northern outskirts of Avdiivka, entering residential areas on the northeast.
Ukraine retook a position along the railline in the northwest.

Bakhmut
Russia has again continued to build on its progress around Bakhmut. They have advanced into the settlement of Bohdanivka. In the south they have continued attacks north of Klishchiivka retaking some postions along the rail line there.

Marinka
After capturing Marinka at the end of 2023, Russia has advanced west of the city into the outskirts of Heorhiivka.
Further south from Marinka, the contested area outside of Novomykhailivka has been expanded as Russia continues attempts to gain a foothold in the settlement.
Robotyne
West of Verbove, Russian forces have attacked into part of the field fortification network liberated by Ukraine in their counteroffensive in mid-2023.
