The IDF operation into Rafah began this week. They have taken control of the Rafah crossing as well as the former airfield.
Before the operation began, Israel issued an evacuation warning for the southern Rafah districts and significantly expanded the designated safe zone.
The IDF also carried out a raid into the Zeitoun district of Gaza city.

North of Khan Yunis the IDF has expanded towards the coast as well as expanding operations in the 'pocket' near Al-Qarara.
The IDF has cleared more land in the buffer zone to the south, close to the Egypt border.

The IDF has made minor expansions to their control north of Khan Yunis and moved into part of the pocket from the southwest.
The road across the Strip has been completed, and a buffer/safe zone alongside the road is still being cleared.

Wednesday 6th March 2024
Israel is currently constructing a new road and security zone, spanning the width of the Gaza Strip. This development is south of Gaza City and follows the path taken by IDF forces during the early stages of the conflict, which divided the Strip in half.
The IDF has extended its operations northward from Khan Yunis towards the coast.
Additionally, a minor expansion has been made just north of Wadi Gaza along the edge of the area being cleared for the road.

The IDF has advanced into the Abasan Al Kabira neighbourhood, southeast of Khan Yunis, connecting their areas of control along the border.
Northwest of Khan Yunis, Israel carried out a raid along the coast, though they moved back the same day.

The IDF has entered the remaining pockets in Khan Yunis.

The IDF continued to expand operations west of Khan Yunis, entering further neighbourhoods at the edge of the Humanitarian zone. They have also reached the Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Yunis.

The IDF has pushed out from Khan Yunis and reached the edge of their previously announced humanitarian safe zone.

The IDF made large advances in northern Gaza over the past week.
The IDF initiated an operation into Bureij expected to take 2-3 weeks. Last week they issued an evacuation warning for this area.

The IDF has advanced into the centre of Khan Yunis. Their advance has followed two main routes, one from the northeast and the other from the east.
Israel has also made further gains in the south of Gaza City, and also advanced into the Jabalia camp.

The IDF has advanced into southern Gaza, taking up positions on the central road into Khan Yunis. The coast road remains passable for the time being.

The temporary ceasefire in Gaza has ended and IDF operations have resumed.

After increasingly intense clashes over the past 24 hours, the IDF have continued to push into Gaza City from both the North and South.
Heavy fighting is ongoing less than 500 metres West of the Al Shifa Hospital after Israel advanced beyond the port.
The IDF have advanced around the extremely high-density buildings of Al Shati camp towards the East of the Shifa Hospital.
Further advances from the South bring the Hospital within 700 metres of being surrounded, if it hasn’t been already.
